Program Overview
Become a Certified Phlebotomy & EKG Tech!
EKG technicians and phlebotomists often work closely together in healthcare settings. EKG technicians are responsible for operating machines that measure and record the electrical activity of the heart, while phlebotomists are responsible for drawing blood from patients.
Registration is open Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm and closes 7 days before class starts. If the class reaches the size limit, registration may end sooner.
Program Details
By having knowledge of both EKG and phlebotomy you will have a more well-rounded understanding of how to care for patients. Additionally, this can make you a very valuable employee, as you will have a wider range of skills and knowledge to offer.
The total duration is 9 weeks. Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday 4pm-8pm
Registration Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED
- Criminal Background Check
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID test within 3 days of class start date
- TB results within 1 year (offered for $50 on first day of class if you need one)
- Working knowledge of computers

Clinicals
Not required - $200 fee (for private pay); Minimum 88 hrs. - Maximum 200 hrs. Rotations are offered by the school through LabCorp or WellStar.
Payment Information
Payment plan for private pay:
- $1,200 deposit due at registration
- $500 due every 2 weeks starting your second Thursday
Completion & Testing Information
Once you have completed and passed the course you are eligible to take the National Certification Exam for Phlebotomy and EKG. Each exam is $245. Payment is due 1 business day before scheduled exam.
