Class Description

CNA/NURSE AIDE: 

  • DAY CLASS: Mon/Wed/Fri 9a to 3:30p x 4 weeks
  • EVENING CLASS: Wed/Fri 4p to 9:30p x 5 weeks

All CNA clinical rotation are completed at a nursing site x 30 hrs. Must have a clean criminal record, negative TB or CXR and 2 pairs of scrubs. Advance registration and down payment is required. State certification exam fees are extra.

 

MEDICATION AIDE (CMA):

Georgia Certified Medication Aide for assisted living is a 3 days class. It is a private one on one training course, therefore the days and times are negotiable The candidate must have an active Georgia CNA license.

PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN (PCT):

  • DAY CLASS: Tuesdays/Thursdays 9a to 2:30p x 9 weeks
  • EVENING CLASS: Tuesdays/Thursdays 4p to 9p x 10 week

The PCT training includes Phlebotomy, EKG and advanced patient care. Graduates can secure 3 certification. Must have a current GA CNA Certification, clean criminal record, TB skin test or CXR, Hepatitis B series and 2 sets of scrubs. CPR and NHA certification exam fees are extra.

 

PHLEBOTOMY TECHNICIAN (CPT):

  • ​DAY CLASS: Tuesdays/Thursdays 9a to 2:30p x 6 weeks
  • EVENING CLASS: Tuesdays/Thursdays 4p to 9p x 7 week

The CPT class has hands on fake blood draws, hands on live blood draws and a clinical externship of 88 hrs. Must have a clean criminal record, TB skin test or CXR, Hepatitis B series and 2 sets of scrubs. CPR and NHA certification exam fees are extra.

 

EKG TECHNICIAN (CET):

  • ​DAY CLASS: Tuesdays/Thursdays 9a to 2:30p x 4 weeks
  • EVENING CLASS: Tuesdays/Thursdays 4p to 9p x 5 week

All CET candidates must have a clean criminal record, TB skin test or CXR. and 2 sets of scrubs. CPR and NHA certification exam fees are extra.

CCMA MEDICAL ASSISTANT:

  • DAY CLASS: Tuesdays/Thursdays 9a to 2:30p x 12 weeks
  • EVENING CLASS: Tuesdays/Thursdays 4p to 9p x 14 week

A CNA certification is required for admission into the CCMA training. CCMA students will spend the first 9 weeks in PCT class to do CPT, CET and CPCT. Prior PCTs are eligible  for accelerated CCMA bridge of 5 weeks training. Clinicals/externship are 88 hours
Must have a clean criminal record, TB skin test or CXR. Hepatatis B series and 2 sets of scrubs. CPR and NHA certification exam fees are extra.

 

PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (CPhT):

  • DAY CLASS: Monday/Wenesday 9a to 1p x 10 weeks

High school level math and reading required. Clinical or extership is not required to complete this training. Need 2 sets of scrubs, clean FBI and GBI criminal record, Neg. TB or CXR. CPR, Georgia CPhT registration and NHA ExCPT fees are extra.

 

DIALYSIS TECHNICIAN:

  • DAY CLASS: Tuesday/Thursday 9a to 1p x 8 weeks + 200 required clinical hours

Clinical/extership at a dialysis clinic minimum 200 hours x another 8 to weeks. Graduates may have to wait for available extership sites. Clinical days and times vary from clinic to clinic. Must have 2 sets of scrubs, 2 lab jackets, clean criminal record, Neg. TB or CXR, and HEP. B series.

 

ACLS Certification:

  • Saturdays and Sundays by appointment only. Advanced regitrations required.

 

CPR/AED/FIRST AID Certifications:

  • Thursdays @ 1p. Advanced registration and payment required.

 

PPD or TB SKIN TEST:

  • WALK-INS Available.  Call ahead: RNS on staff to administer.
